In House Melts War Gamez Cold Cure Live Rosin Review

In House Melts, a brand new solventless-only lab here in Colorado, came out absolutely swinging with their War Gamez cold cure live rosin 2g buckets. From top to bottom this hash checks every box there is for connoisseurs who want a heavy duty indica that will bring your brain to a totally different place. The cross behind the genetics is crazy and if you tend to have extremely high rosin standards, this one is sure to please. Even the most jaded dabbers will find the War Gamez intense, unique, and will be glad they have two grams of it instead of one.

When I first got this two gram bucket of War Gamez cold cure live rosin from In House Melts, I was stoked to see it come in one of the new POP VAC jars that are starting to become ubiquitous among top hash makers. While the packaging was relatively plain, when you open the jar and hear the “pop” you’re immediately greeted with a beautifully light honey yellow rosin badder. Upon manipulating it at room temperature with my dab tool it remained pretty firm and is surprisingly crystal-laden when viewed at the macro level. It’s also quite wet and shiny, which adds to the effect that it’s some true top quality solventless.

Of all aspects in this review, the War Gamez’s aroma is almost impossible to describe. War Gamez is a wild mixture of three strains: World War Z #6 #14, Rainbow Push Pop #7, and Cran Z. Hence the name. The World War Z and Rainbow Push Pops are both cultivars from the legendary Harry Palms of Bloom Seed Co. Immediately upon the first sniff it felt like I was transported to one of the Denver Botanic Garden’s humid, intensely floral orchid rooms. I also picked up on the slightest hints of sweet cranberry. I expected to smell more of the Z present in this cross but wasn’t disappointed by the lack of that profile that can tend to overpower others present.

One of my coworkers supplied his Hole N One rig with a Banger Supply Co XL slurper to sample the War Gamez which turned out to be a great choice. I took a couple rips and found that the 500°F mark is just about perfect for this hash, which is still pretty low temperature overall but not in melt territory. Some of the delicate flavors aren’t fully present above 530°F even though it gets a tad stronger when you go up in the heat scale. As you’ll read though, that is hardly necessary because this is some incredibly potent rosin that even major league stoners will get off with.

When I took the first dab, its creaminess on the inhale was palpable in a way that is incredibly satisfying. It’s just super smooth in the best kind of way. It tastes of a heavily floral Zkittlez-leaning varietal on the tongue but has some subtle hints of diesel that make for a legitimately hash aficionado-approved flavor blend. Unlike some rosins however, it coats your mouth almost like an egg yolk does which is both welcome and a sign of how extra terpene-rich this particular batch is. One of the common threads among many of our other TerpGuide Headstash rated solventless products is that they tend to bring two disparate flavors together, which the War Gamez does just about perfectly between blooming floral and a slight but sharp, gassy acidity.
