The Chemmy Jones rosin itself embodies a texture reminiscent of a whipped butter and sugar cookie base. It’s a thicker cold cure texture that is visually enticing and equally satisfying to dig into. After an hour at room temperature, this softens up remarkably well. In my opinion, this rosin is the type of gram that gets better in your pocket – if you’re familiar with that sentiment. Even while unscrewing the cap on äkta's Chemmy Jones hash rosin, its strong scent creeps out. But removing the lid and holding the gram to your nose unleashes an array of acidic, borderline vinegar, but unmistakable Chemdawg notes. It’s definitely in the same family as the wave you get after opening the seal on a fresh can of tennis balls. It also has a sort of organic skunkiness that tends to come with living soil products. Coming in at 5.45% terpenes on the test results, Chemmy Jones, a cross between Casey Jones and Chemdawg Bx2, is a sensory powerhouse.

I first sampled this gram in the 520°-525°F range using a quartz nail attached to my Leisure Glass incycler, cleaned and ¼ filled with fresh cold water. In addition to this, I was keen to test out my brand new Puffco 3D Chamber. So, I decided to sample Chemmy Jones again using my Peak Pro. I set the device to my custom temperature of 515°F and eagerly explored the new vapor control feature. With options of standard, high, and max, I opted for max to truly experience the full capabilities. Normally when using the Puffco (standard chamber), I wait until the heating cycle is complete to put the product in because I believe it preserves some of the delicate terpenes and cannabinoids from cooking off during heating. But in the interest of maximizing vapor, I dropped the rosin in when the device was still cold, and I have to say, I don’t think I experienced any flavor loss by doing so.

This strain boasts a flavor profile that's complex to say the least.
